Expected response window: 3 business days.

Supported Platform

  • iPhone with iOS 16.1 or later.
  • HIIT Beam is an iPhone-only app.
  • The primary workout console is designed for landscape orientation.

Hardware

HIIT Beam works with compatible Bluetooth Low Energy heart-rate straps that use the standard Heart Rate Service. A chest strap is recommended for full live-BPM guidance, but the interval timer can run without a connected strap.

HealthKit

HealthKit saving is optional. If you grant permission, HIIT Beam can save a completed high-intensity interval training workout and heart-rate samples to Apple Health. If HealthKit permission is denied, the workout can still be saved locally in HIIT Beam's recent history.

Troubleshooting

The workout console is not visible

Rotate your iPhone to landscape orientation. HIIT Beam shows a rotate prompt in portrait orientation.

The app cannot read heart rate

  • Turn on Bluetooth.
  • Grant Bluetooth permission for HIIT Beam in iOS Settings.
  • Wet and fit the chest strap contacts according to the strap maker's instructions.
  • Use "Reconnect strap" if the app is scanning or waiting for BPM.
  • Use "Forget saved strap" if HIIT Beam should stop reconnecting to a previously saved strap.

HealthKit saving is not working

  • Grant Health permissions for HIIT Beam in the Health app or iOS Settings.
  • If HealthKit permission is denied, the workout can still be saved locally in recent history.
  • HealthKit workouts and heart-rate samples can be reviewed and deleted in the Health app.

Removing local data

  • Use "Clear history" to remove local session history.
  • Use "Forget saved strap" to remove the saved strap identifier.
  • Delete HIIT Beam to remove local app settings and history from the device.
