HIIT Beam is a heart-rate-guided HIIT training app by Kuro AI Lab. It runs without a cloud account and does not send workout or heart-rate data to HIIT Beam servers.
Data HIIT Beam Processes
Bluetooth heart-rate strap data. HIIT Beam connects to compatible Bluetooth Low Energy heart-rate straps that expose the standard Heart Rate Service. During a workout, the app reads heart rate in beats per minute and sensor contact status. If a strap sends additional measurement fields such as RR intervals or energy expended, the current app may parse those fields as part of the Bluetooth measurement, but it does not provide HRV features or store RR interval history.
Saved strap identifier. To make reconnecting easier, HIIT Beam stores the identifier of the last connected strap locally on your device. You can clear it from the app by choosing "Forget saved strap."
HealthKit data. If you grant HealthKit permission, HIIT Beam can save a high-intensity interval training workout and heart-rate samples to Apple Health. The current app requests HealthKit access for workouts, heart rate, and active energy. The current workout flow saves workouts and heart-rate samples; it does not calculate active energy values.
Local settings and history. HIIT Beam stores app settings locally, including work/rest timing, round count, HR max, target range, alert preferences, onboarding completion, equipment cue templates, and recent completed-session summary history. Recent history includes session date, protocol name and detail, duration, average BPM, max BPM, rounds, and zone distribution.
Data HIIT Beam Does Not Collect
HIIT Beam does not create accounts, collect names, collect email addresses inside the app, use analytics, show ads, track users across apps or websites, sell data, or upload heart-rate/workout data to a developer-controlled server.
Where Data Is Stored
App settings and recent history are stored in the app's local device storage. HealthKit data is stored by Apple Health under your HealthKit permissions and device settings. If you use Apple health data syncing or device backups, Apple may handle that data according to your Apple account and device settings.
Your Choices
- Bluetooth permission can be managed in iOS Settings.
- HealthKit permissions can be managed in the Health app or iOS Settings.
- The saved strap identifier can be removed with "Forget saved strap."
- Local session history can be removed with "Clear history."
- Deleting HIIT Beam removes the app's local settings and history from the device.
- HealthKit workouts and heart-rate samples can be reviewed and deleted in the Health app.
